Glazed stoneware and porcelain surfaces are pleasant to touch, sometimes with the buttery and waxy smoothness of river rocks that have been tumbled in water for centuries. Stoneware is famous for conveying the natural beauty of the elements. Glazes evoke the rich colors of stone, shells, and vibrant new growth in spring; moving and still water, and the sky at morning or dusk. Nature is a constant that moves me to create pottery that’s enjoyable and even comforting to use.
